Please govern yourself accordingly

A clichéd, yet surprisingly ubiquitous and resilient phrase, “please govern yourself accordingly” often appears at the end of a legal demand letter. The intended message, presumably, being that having laid out an incontestable case in favour of the author’s position, only a foolhardy recipient would fail to immediately do what’s necessary to put things right.

It falls to each legal market participant to understand the changes underway and to govern themselves accordingly.

PGYA blog: “Thoughts”

We’re using the name “Thoughts” to describe the PGYA blog because we intend to highlight a mix of leading thinkers writing about the future of law and the changing nature of legal practice and the administration of justice. Highlighted posts include material we’ve found elsewhere and wanted to share as well as content from Colin’s “Lachance on Law” blog, or original content from other contributors.

Have something interesting to say?  Get in touch! We are always willing to consider guest posts from others with insights on the future of law.
